A non-profit advertising campaign, Sprouts for Stouts is an event that takes place in local bars and pubs all over Philadelphia. The event is held as a beer garden in which all the proceeds are collected to build self-sustainable raised gardens for the 2.5 million people living in the Sahara Desert. Urbanites are popularizing raised gardens with edible plants that need little attention. If we can host vegetables in a city, why not try in a desert?
